well, i live in Japan now but I'm from Memphis, TN.  I love the blues, jazz, and really all kinds of music.  about three weeks ago i decided i wanted to make a slide guitar and happened upon this site and the whole cigar box building phenom.

well, i'm hooked.  i started building my first one last week (and tbh it's not all that great).  My spare time has been looking into ways to create good plans and a better approach with each build.  My family and co-workers both have gone from joshing me about talking too much of my new hobby to just listening (most likely hoping the latest story or idea will wrap itself up promptly).  I want to show them that I can make a masterpiece and I won't quit until I do.

I don't play guitar but i'm musicly minded and I would love to have something homegrown to learn on. 

most of all, I want to say thank you to EVERYBODY on this site.  there is a world of information here and a really positive vibe.  glad i finally signed up.
