Guys,

I got about 20 glass cigar tubes (el Producto) with one of the boxes I bought on eBay, and was wondering if I could make functional slides out of them.  They're obviously too long & will need to be shortened, but do any of you have any suggestions on how to shorten them or if they're just too fragile to mess with?  Diameter is a little on the smallish side, but I can get my pinkie in them.

too thin, could easily break, not temper or safety class....

I ask the same question 2 years ago, mess around with some and found out the above advice was true... if you love the meat and tendons on your fingers, beware.....
Yeah - have similar concerns. Thought I might line it a bit inside with some duct tape in case it split as a way to minimize the opportunity for blood loss. On second thought, maybe I need to go dig through my pile of copper tubing & find something a little more robust. But those glass tubes are just so cool . . . . .

Dremel Diamond cutting wheels to cut. Drill grinder attachment to grind it to safeness
yea, I have big fingers and 3/4 copper pipe connectors work good as well as 3/4 pipe sections.... if you have a dremel go dumpster diving for beer and wine bottles.... if you choose to mess with the cigar tubes, the duct tape is a good idea, but have your insurance paid up lol.... the best, Sam
