Bring your one man act and your Gits for Show & Tell. My wife will send along a few of her home made cup cakes and I will bring the 300 extra cigar boxes my wife no longer lets me keep at home to trade for a small donation to the Ukes for Schools program. Sunday, February 19th, 1 to 4pm, at the Strum Shop (Thanks Stu & Budd). Greg Roberts will give a presentation on DIY Amp Building and maybe we can get some of you up to play something on your CBG's. I have some new builds to show off, so bring yours and we will have some fun!

I summer in Walnut Creek, CA and usually build several instruments while there. The rest of the year I'm in China, where I also build instruments. Most of mine are "paddle-box" stick dulcimers. Occasionally do CBGs and CBUs as well as cookie tin dulcimers. Seems there are some other builders here, but no one has done anything to "organize" them as they have in the Sacramento area. If I were a full time Bay Area guy I would likely try organizing an event. It might be cool to try to get something going in July, 2014. I'd be willing to help run the event, but not run it as it probably is quite an undertaking. Will King did it for Sacramento, so we could pick his brain for ideas on organizing. Anyone else up for a CBG / Home Made Instruments Get Together for the SF Bay Area this coming summer? If so, pipe in...
