There will be a guitar show here at the Marin Civic center next weekend. Not CBG, but who knows what will be there? I'll be wandering around checking things out. Maybe there will be a CBG or two there.

I am building CBG # 10, 11 & 12 at the moment. 4 string, fretted, piezo, etc.

650mm scale length, open G tuning.

Plus 3 ukes.

I build my guitrars on my sailboat-very crowded.

Making my own boxes these days because finding good sounding boxes seems very difficult.

I am kind of in a vacuum here because I don't really know other guitar builders and I have never seen another CBG in person other than mine.

Anybody else in the North Bay building CBGs? I am in Sausalito

Comment by Will King on May 11, 2014 at 5:23am: At the CBG Meeting on Sunday, May 18th at the Strum Shop, from 1 to 4pm, Tommy Young will do a show & tell and a little playing. I will show a great CBClock and a CBMandolin and may even try to play it. Bring your works of art, so everyone can see them. I will bring a few hundred cigar boxes and even a few from my private stock to sell. We have a beginner building presentation for the new members from the UkeU group and I have put together a kit with some of the machine work already done. See you all there!

No plans yet, so if you want to get up and show & tell, let me know and I will put you on the agenda. I have tons of new cigar boxes that would make great gits, ukes or mandolins. I have a new 4 string CBMandolin to show and I am working on my 2 finger chords, thanks to Uncle John. Let me know what you want to do at this meeting.
