anybody is welcome to try this challenge and we encourage you to participate, if not for any other reason except to see what you are capable of. there is no set style of guitar in this challenge, it could have as many strings as you want it to.as long as it has a string that vibrates and you can play a tune on it, it qualifies for this build. every body have a fun time. you should have plenty time to get your build completed. we are looking for most unusual if you can build it. but 1st place and 2nd place will be decided by the members.if we can do it we should put pictures or videos of each individual participants build on a page in itself for the challengers to enjoy. thanks everybody.

Brian and Bone, I just posted some pics of my entry into the unusual guitar challenge. It's called the Harley Bow, Hope you find it interesting. It can be played as an electric Diddley bow or as a wind instrument. Has a swivel/tilt mic mount that can be removed and replaced with a mouthpiece. The instrument is made from a Harley-Davidson Exhaust that has already seen many miles of use. The Harmonica/Vocal Mic is made from a 1961 Bell Telephone Reciever. The Swivel/Tilt Mic mount is made from a Shower head swivel and a cell phone holder. The Single-coil pick-up is made from and Alnico Cow Magnet and a coil from a set of hair trimmers. It's definitely not made of wood. I guess I could have waited longer to post, but maybe this will jog loose some ideas for somebody. Jeff

Here's a different pic of the Harley Bow. Jeff
Very cool Jeff, how does it sound?

Delvero,

With this pick-up is has a very clean sound and the Harmonica mic works very well also. It's not he greatest wind instrument, but it does work. I'll probably post a vid before the end of the month to prove that it all works.

Jeff
ok randy that is awesome looking bro i,m glad you did this it looks better than what i expected a fiberglass rake handle guitar to look like.it may have been difficult to get done but look at what you have accomplished. you should be proud of this one.
