Hi there everyone from Yellowbelly country.

I finished my latest project today. An electric baritone ukulele using a pannier cigar box and under saddle pick up. I'm really delighted with this little instrument with a 500mm scale. Tuned D,G,B and E using nylon ukulele strings.

Nice pictures of your CBG's. I will post a picture of mine when I have got it out of the camera and on to the computer.
I have just tried a transducer in it and it kicks ass and all it cost was .89p (yes that's right eighty nine pence). I got it from Maplin and they have smaller ones that are cheaper.
Don't go spending loads on ready made tranny's go to Maplin and get a cheapy. For less than a quid you can't go wrong. BTW the cheapest is just .59p and they all contain the same inside as the ones you pay £10 for on ebay.
Hope this helps some of you as I am all for ''doing it cheap''.

I have got the pics on to my computer and have posted a couple.
It is my first CBG so excuse the look etc.. I have not quite finished it yet as I want to fit a volume and tone control and a jack socket. The transducer I have taped into it and rigged it on to a lead so I can try it and it works well.
The box I bought for .99p on ebay, the neck is a piece of oak which cost me £1 and I need to put a coating on it. The bits and pieces I had laying around ( old frets from another guitar) and the other bits I made from whatever I could find.
I will post pics when it is finished.
