Buying Parts in UK

I'm looking for a amp kit to make a cigarbox guitar amp but all i'm finding is stuff from the US , can't be waiting a month and paying vat and all that postage , any one know of a UK supplier of thses amp kits .

You would be surprised what you can find in Maplins.

Their staff are usually pretty useful as well

Maplins aren't great in the shop but will order stuff to be collected in store if you pay up front.
There are quite a few kits on eBay.

Get a pair of amplified computer speakers from the nearest car boot, put a 9v battery feed instead of the mains transformer, and make the stereo miniplug into a mono socket. Cheap as chips, and a great battery amp.

Yes I've looked at there site before but as the name suggests they make pedal parts so I've emailed them on this subject and pointed out there's market for them in the UK and would they be interested in making a kit .

When this problem is sorted out can anyone tell me where to get Fret-boards.

I can do most things but sawing a 1/4 inch slice of a lump of hardwood is beyond me.
