Hi Steve,

Brickdust & Pyno have kindly offered to loan some kit.

I may have been to a few gigs but I never took any real notice of the dark arts that went on behind the cgbs. B-)

Sound like you won't need much of a PA, just a couple of mics for vocals and a couple of hundred watts of power will probably do you, plus a couple of decent guitar amps. Beg, borrow (or steal) one is my recommendation. If you are outdoors try and run a mains power line to it rather than rely on a generator for power. In either case put an earth leakage breaker in the circuit to reduce the risk of electric shocks. If you have to use a genny, use an inverter type to avoid 'spikes' in the power supply, as amps, especially modern digital ones, don't like voltage fluctuations. If there's already a band organised, then there should be a PA there anyway.
