  • havent seen that slat design before-cool concept-it'd keep the weight down I guess-as well as lookin cool.
  • Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply. The handle & straps are made from leather. I used snaps on the leather pieces to close the case. I bought the snaps from the Tandy Leather Company.
Sure, use any ideas that you like from this case to make your own CBG case. Good luck & please upload some pics when you have finished.
  • You bet your boots! That, in my book is one fine Box! I like the slat feature so it’s curiously exposed the craftsmanship. That’s letting enough visibility through so that one almost has to ask you to open-er-up so they can see! Love it, might borrow some of that idea from you if you don’t mind. It looks like you used straps & buttons to keep it closed. Am I seeing that right? Thanks for sharing!
  • yessir that is really nice. simple and complex all in one
  • Ive been looking for a design. What strikes me here is the sides and the cross pieces. I do like the slat design but prolly will use 1/4" pressboard instead (environmental protection) The crosspieces would be very useful in crush resistance. I might take mine on a plane sometime and might have to gate check it. A soft case which I have would not do.
