AGP #230 - ''Sunday Roast''

AGP #230 - “Sunday Roast”(4 String Resophonic Guitar)Scale : 635mm / 25inchesStrings : .052NW / .042NW / .032NW / .024NW /Tuning: D / A / D / F# /$1 Charity Shop Teflon Coated Baking Pan, 9mm Marine Grade Hardwood Ply (Black Stain)Back, Tasmanian Oak Neck & Bridge, Merbau Fret Board & Headstock Wings (Golden Teak Stain), 6.06k Prewired Single Coil Pickup, Vol, Tone, Output Jack.Inspired by the great looking and sounding Vid & Pics of the Baking Pan Resophonic build Added by Wade on December 5, 2015 at 10:40am, and while my build can’t match it with his because of his obviously fantastic Gold Foil Pickup’s, it does sound pretty damn good, quite loud Acoustically un-amped, and very nice on the cleaner settings.Initially tried it with an open back, sounded Ok, but mellowed out and improved 10 times over with the Ply Back attached!!!Was in two minds on whether to go 3 or 4 strings, and what string gauges to use, and while I’m very happy with the outcome on this one, I think a 3 string build with lighter gauge strings will not be too far away!! (providing I can find another cheap charity shop find, or failing that, the Missus has a very nice “Shiny Stainless Steel” pan sitting in the cupboard!!!!!)

  • "Thanks"  Jim Morris, Yes! Roast Very Mmmm, don't know about the States, but in days of yore in the Land Down Under, the tradition every Sunday Lunch, was a Family Roast, usually in our case Roast Lamb & Baked Vegies.

  • Mmmm... roast!!

  • "Thanks" Uncle John, Yes! I'm happy with the look, and it did have an smell to it when purchased, thanks to bit of leftover residue of burnt on Beef/Pork/ Lamb/ Chicken fat etc. ;-)

  • "Thanks" the anonymous pick, yup! I think it's a 10.
