  • "Thanks" the anonymous pick, didn't know they also made Amps, but!, do now!!

  • "Thanks" for that info Ron "Oily" Sprague, before I was given this Git, I had never heard of Samick, or that anyone had instruments made in Indonesia, Korea yes!, as I have a Korean made Joe Pass Emperor VS - Epiphone.

Just had a quick look on Ebay (Australia) and your right, they do look like they are in the budget end of the market, with similar prices to what you've described.

  • i've    got a samick amp  ,  pretty  good lil amp  , but  i  never   use  it  .

  • Samick makes stringed instruments in their Korean and Indonesian factories for nearly all the major and minor guitar companies. I personally own two Samick guitars, one a beautiful, lightweight Samick Greg Bennett-designed Blacbird, that has great midrange and treble acoustic tone (my daughter's guitar, which I keep for her until she goes off to college next fall), and a Samick dreadnought acoustic that rivals the midrange Yamahas and Breedloves for tone. Both are very well constructed, highly affordable instruments, with features that would literally cost hundreds more dollars on much higher-end instruments (I know, I own a few of those, too. ;-) ). We're talking 200-400 dollars for these Samicks, which sound far batter than similarly priced Dean, Ibanezes, Mitchell, Fender, Epiphone, Ovation, etc. offerings.

I once had an Alvarez Yairi custom that only cost 200 bucks, that was one of the sweetest-sounding affordable acoustics I've ever played. Sometimes, you get an exceptional one amidst all the crap.
  • "Thanks" for the like Michael "Doc" Written, always good to see another Sailor on the site!

  • "Thanks" James O Lunsford, don't know much about the quality of "Samick" instruments, but this one sounds fine to me!

  • "Thanks"   'Lol' Maddog, this "Mad-Dog" is an Aussie version, named because of the "Rough-Tough-Fearless" way he played our brand of football; Rugby League.

  • "Thanks", Mr. the anonymous pick
