That's a great Idea for the fret board but there is a guy in the UK that sells a water slide decal for about $13.00 USD on Ebay. The decal is 23" x 2 3/8". It goes along with his plans for a Danelectro 6 string steel guitar.
Michael, I love to ride my trike. The boom in front adjust in or out to adjust to your height which lets me ride it without any pain to my leg. The only bad thing about it is it is 5" off the ground. If you come across a snake, you are eye to eye with the little devil which will scare the sh-- out of you or it did me. LOL
"Paris, Texas" in Auckland, eh? Texas is a border town in Queensland, Australia -- like TX it's huge (900 people at least!) and my mother comes from there.
Back in 1998 I did a poetry tour of Texas, and did readings in Dallas, Temple, Austin and San Antonio. I also brought in some Cuban cigars from just around the corner from where I live (in Brisbane, capital of Qld).
Cheers

Hi Michael!
I got the end piece on eBay along with the bridge and saddle (I'll send you an email with the link). It's for a 4 string tenor guitar. I don't know what kind of metal it is, but it's just stamped into the shape (it's not a nice cast piece). It was originally about 5" long, but I cut & bent it to fit my box. I then polished it by hand to a brighter finish using "Mothers Incredible Billet Metal Polish." I've used this stuff in the past to polish an aluminum chassis plate for a tube preamp to a near mirror finish (after many hours of sanding using successively finer and finer grits).

I just made a lap steel and I am waiting for this decal to arrive. I'll post a picture of it when it is finished.
