Welcome MC.  Ukecansam, I'm with you-we should get together for a beer.  I may be getting a gig together to play the 7 Hills Stomp set Elemental and I are putting together for the Huntsville cbg fest.  It would be great to have as many of the Ohio and Ky folks at it.  I will let you all know when and where

Skeesix - Sounds Great about the gig just let me know.

 

I get my boxes at The Party Source across the river.  They have a lot of small boxes you just have to be there when the big one are set out.  They charge $2.00 for wood and $1.00 for paper covered.

 

MC - I have a few I would be happy to let you have.  I am not sure what size you are looking for.

Ukecansam - I'm working on a gig thing with Joker that might be a cool chance to get together. I'll be able to tell you more later this week.

 

MC - I get boxes from the Carousel Tobacco Shoppe. I think that's the name. It's on Reading Rd. south of Galbraith in the complex where the Carousel Inn used to be. They used to have a lot more boxes, but now they give them to some kind of charity so the charity can sell them. But they usually seem to have around a dozen when I go in - both paper covered and the fancier all wood ones. Good prices too, like 50 cents or a dollar each.

Cincinnati folks, what's been some the best places to get some of the bigger, "wider" boxes. Jungle Jim's is the only place I've been to get a cb, but they're mostly small, the cheep ones. Ideas? I'm hungry to build another, but not certain were to look for the bigger ones.

Hey all, MC from Cincinnati. Glad to see some buckeyes on this site. Within the past couple of weeks built four diddly bows. One of them is a 3 stringer ( needs over haulen already), my latest is a resonator , I made out of a large old coffee can, and my favorite out of them. Have a cbg in the works 'bout 3/4's of the way finished. This is kind of new to me cause I'm used to playing my 6 stringers, for the past 14 years. But I figure if I can get sound out of what I build it is worth it.
