Pete, welcome! It's good to hear of another cbger here in Cincinnati. There hasn't yet been a formal get together I'd Ohio folks but there is some interest. I am up for anything. I head up a 2 piece band called 7 Hills Stomp with me on cbgs and vocals and my friend Elemental on drums and diddley bow. We have played the cbg Fest in huntsville Alabama the past 3 years and York Pennsylvania last year. We would love to get something going local though. I am up for suggestions from anyone.

Mitch, you just missed the Dayton Blues Fest. There is now also a Dayton Blues Society (about two years old). Gilly's in Dayton has a fair number of national blues acts touring through. Lima has Pickel's Blues Extravaganza every year in February or March. Columbus has a blues society, the Creekside Blues Fest and touring national acts coming through.

Hello fellow Buckeyes. I been playing for a couple years and made approx 30 cbgs. I'm always looking for live blues/CBG music in my area. Please keep me posted if anything comes up. I live in Minster Ohio (40 miles north of Dayton)

FYI - There will be two top notch cigar box guitar groups performing at the Cincy Blues Fest this year. It's next weekend Fri/Sat. Aug 5/6 at Sawyer Point Park, downtown Cincinnati. Friday is Moreland & Arbuckle and Saturday is Ben Prestage, both on the Main Stage. More details at http://www.cincybluesfest.org. If you come down, look for me in the photographer's area in front of the main stage fence, at least Friday, as long as it's not too blasted hot. 10 day forecast looks good -  only 87F.

Clark, I think that doing something for the foundation would be a great idea. I could put on a small performance for the event or something. I live on a tight budget so that's about as much as could contribute. Maybe some builders would like to do something as well. Let us know the details when you have them.

Hi, I'm Hank Bruner from Grafton, Ohio. I have built four or five cbg's, and have had the best time doin it. I have given three away to my grandsons, and they love playing on them.
