G'day all.....

G'day everyone.......another new member here from Australia. I live on the eastern seaboard, in New South Wales near the Victorian border. I first came across cigar box guitars while I was holidaying on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland about 18 months ago, where I saw Michael Hutchins selling his CBG's at Eumundi. I loved them, and did a bit of googling and thought they were pretty cool.

Well I happened to be holidaying there again the past 2 weeks and again saw Michael selling his wares, so I stopped and had a chat and ended up buying one. Well a LOT more googling to try and attempt to play (I'm a music numpty) led me here.

G'day Mick and welcome to the Nation. Wait 'til you build your first one, you'll be hooked for life. There are some great players here to learn from, (I'm not one of them) and lots of builders to be inspired by. Enjoy your journey into homemade musical instruments, everyone has it's own voice and they sing sweet.

I'm brand new here, as well. There is a lot of information to be had and very generous folks to help explain it. I haven't yet finished exhausting the search function to even begin asking questions.

BTW I don't think I've ever come across the term "numpty" before, but, from the sound of it, I'm pretty sure I am one. :)
