I,ll cut about 6 slides, and bring any of mine, just in case.Got 7 cbg's( 4 for sale). Was about to ask about the tuning, but you've got that covered. E works for me.Psyched for it!

Hi peoples ...Mini News flash  arrive time at the venue for builders on Saturday for the Tally Valley CGBG Workshop is 2pm. Workshop starts at 3. We're  working on he basis of twenty people for the workshop...first in best dressed. All makers are of course my guests / allies for the workshop. But also my guests for the concert with respective partners. I'll put your name on the door plus one! Yo Troy...Tuning in...pardon the pun... to your comment below. Did you mean cutting some Slides/ Bottlenecks for Saturdays' workshop?...If so Bonza How many do you think you'll have? Gary and i think we'll need another 6 to make the target of twenty. No pressure at all for you to come up with that many just let me know what works for you, if any, and I can easily get the rest. Latest News update re the  Lap Slides / Tone Bars..to be or not to be... adventure. Tubular (Bottleneck) will be fine for all and sundry! Had a little play and also did some research. Turns out many Lap sliders use the cylinder or solid tube shape. so we won't need the spanners! We can use bottlenecks for both positions. Makes it simple. Only 9 Sleeps! Woohoo!!

Penny  and I are working on a good cheap alternative for Slide Bars...So far she's  sourced chrome spanners from Crazy Clarkes $2 ea. I've got forks in my kitchen  that i've played lap style with before! (When I lost my bar) Any other brainwaves? As Gary and Penny know I play my Hoodoo Hand across my lap but will touch briefly on off the shoulder and lap style playing at the work shop Hence chasing cheap slide bar substitutes. Booking don't normally happen till close to and on the day but I'm guessing 20 people, just as a number to work with. Soul

Thanks Penny, Likewise, looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the crew. Steve Lyons, who is an excellent cinematographer, is going to be filming the workshop (and concert). And Mike Gregory, who's started building some fine CGB Guitars out of Mullumbimby in NSW, is planning to be at the workshop with some of his geets too.Shaping up nicely but yes need to get hold of enough slides!
