  • For 2 or more piezos just connect the reds together and the blacks together (parallel).

    • thanks for that, much appreciated...................................

  • the main thing to know is that piezos want to combine in parallel, where they improve each other significantly and not in series, where they'll scream like a matching pair of fish wives

    • I kinda know what ya mean, so just joining em(red ta red and black ta black) is good or not....im gonna use the rod piezos...ta

      • Yep red and red join together and call that hot and black and black join together call that ground, and that's parallel. So the output is pickup one + pickup two.

A series connection would be connecting the red from one of them to hot, the black from the other to ground, then the loose one from each hooked together so signal must pass through both rather than one or the other, think of this as pickup one multiplied by pickup two rather than addition if that makes sense. Don't do this with piezos.

(This is an over-simplification and some would argue that subtraction and division would be better metaphors..)
        • got it, thanks heaps................

  • Make sure you ground it properly. :-)
    • thanx heaps

  • Yep - We do -http://www.cigarboxnation.com/group/cbgwiringelectronics
just put reds together and blacks together and then watch for smoke!!!!

Just kidding about the smoke (sort of)   :-)
