2011 Cigar Box Nation Christmas Album

I know it seems early, but Christmas will be here before you know it.

Shane had organized the Christmas albums in the past, but in his absence, CB Gitty asked me if I would like to coordinate it for this year.

For any of the new folks here on the Nation, we have compiled a yearly album of songs played, composed, sung, or whatever, by our members. The primary requirement is that the recording be of fairly good quality. For example, If you are singing, we want to be able to hear your voice. You get my drift...

The 2009 Christmas album contained 23 songs, and the 2010 Christmas contained 40 songs. More songs is not necessarily better, but we really don't have a limit on the number of songs we can include.

You can submit a cover of a traditional song, or you can do something you wrote/composed yourself.

Please respond in this thread if you would like to participate, and include the song that you would like to have included in the album. Once we have the final album compiled, it will be posted as a free download, and anyone will be able to download it. So, you will be able to pass the links along to your friends and family.

Hi, I'm Thorsten from the mountains of Austria. I've recorded a christmas album in different languages two years ago (one year before I got into making CBGs). Well, I'm new here, but I'd pretty much like to record a song for this year's album. I'll write a new X-Mas-tune, possibly in German or the very rare language which is spoken here in the west of Austria. When's the deadline?
