Hi. For a few days now I have been unable to get any results in any of the search fields anywhere on this site. Forums, groups photos. Not a sausage. I have even tried really common terms such as cigar, guitar, build, neck and fret. Nothing. I get a message such as "Our apologies - we couldn't find any discussions matching your search."

I am on a Mac using Safari but have used Firefox as well. Another friend on a Mac tried and got nothing and I tried on a PC (browser = IE) where I teach. Nothing in all cases. I see no mention of anyone else having this problem. Of course there may have been a mention. Since I can't search I can't check (catch 22).

Just one more point. I have a Ning network for my students (this site is run by Ning). The search works just fine on that.

Please can anyone throw some light on this?

John

I been having hte same problem for about a week...
my searches have come up blank last couple of days, thought it was me been a muppet!!!:0)
Maybe we are all muppets, but I prefer to think not. Thanks for letting me know that it is not just me. I did send a message reporting it through the "Report an Issue" link. That was a day or two ago.

Muppets of the world unite.
I can't get anything back on a search either.
i'll join the club caus i cant get anything either :(
Let's hope it gets fixed soon. The site is such a tremendous source of information that it is frustrating not being able to search for things. As a novice builder and player (one playable instrument and a lot of wrong notes under my belt) I still need a lot of guidance from the wisdom and experience of others.
Same here - I dont exist according to my search.....
I noticed it when i released the comp on Monday. I tried searching everybody that donated a song to send them there free copy's. Funny to search Shane's name and it said try searching something else...LOL
Looks like Ning is taking a poop. I'll try to get an answer this weekend. Been busy with family stuff...

Hi.

Thanks for confirming that this is a common problem. Until it is fixed I have found a solution of sorts (though not exactly an elegant one). If you go to you can search there and it finds articles here. I assume the two sites are linked in some way as CBN is included in the links page on that site. I don't know if the search is as reliable as the one on this site (I can't exactly make a comparison at the moment) but as the search here doesn't work at all and that one does, it seems like a winner.

Good luck to Shane with getting this fixed.
Sorry. The link to the other site didn't appear in the last message although I know I put it in. Not to be defeated, here is the link.

Maybe the site needs re-indexing.
