First test splitting signal out of mixer to Kodak Zi8 video recorder (Zi8 has an audio port) and 1967 Revox A77 reel to reel using RMGI Sm900 tape. I had to ...

Hey Jim, I use a Switchcraft 13A mono transfer jack for hacking the Dano. For a test you can cut the wires going to the speaker on the Dano & if you like it you can order the jack. This jack gives you the option of using the stock speaker in the Dano, or sending signal out to a different cab. EZPZ to do, I'll be more then happy to give you the details. Let us know how you like that bad boy running the cab. BTW, if you have a 9V adapter use it because you get mo' power.

Thanks TH & MD for your kind comments. I'm loving the analog also, but in this modern world the only way to share it is through a digital medium like youtube. That being said, if you can appreciate the warmth of analog Vs the digital through youtube, then I have achieved my goal.

Cool, so did you just disconnect the Honeytone speaker and wire up the 4x12? If so I'm heading out to the shop and open up one of my Honeytones. I don't have a 4x12 cab but I've got a PA speaker cab with a 12 and a blown horn. What's the worst that could happen?

Yes Sir BLC, sounds great man! I'm like Jim as I'm not sure about all the techno stuff you're referring to other than digital vs. analog......but I am an analog kid. I  am pretty sure Hollowbelly records all his stuff with analog gear with my Bro TVT's label.

Thanks Jim, I'm sure your much smarter then I am, LOL!! A member on the nation was curious how to get bigger sound from small watt amps. I have been meaning to do a digital/analog comparison, so I took the opportunity to do the comparison and show what a little 1 watt amp can do driving a 4X12 cab.

I'm not smart enough to understand exactly what you were doing but the git sounds reat!

Thanks Wes!! It was a lot of fun comparing the two technologies. I'm hoping to fine tune the Revox for future recordings.
