I dont know enough about the technical issues as to getting it to sound good…
lol, i didnt miss it by much then.
Pretty cool looking guitars. I likes how they had built then with the tuning pegs at the base of the body.

most of the materials i use come from Ebay and i think most other guys on here use Ebay - i dont know of anyone in the UK that stocks stuff for CBG's , most are made of whatever you can find - i've had some good deals on hardwood (Oak & Maple) from ebay thats where i get my Cigar boxes from aswell but mostly from the USA - it's just a case of spending time searching through all the listings i try and find sellers that are selling a few boxes at a time it works out lots cheaper in the long run - you could add a post on the forum asking for Boxes a few guys have done this before and scored some good boxes - i usually get my Tuners and electricals from www.Axesrus.co.uk
these guys deliver fast for free and have a good selection of guitar parts at good prices

- hehe! yep you dont think that theres so many people into CBG until you see the Nation - i started with CBG just about 2 years since and there was only a handfull of Brits then now we have over a hundred in our group , plus theres a fair few guys selling CBG over on Ebay who are not members here and loads on youtube - sorry i keep putting CBG - it's short for Cigar Box Guitar , i just assume everybody knows that but they dont lol!
yep sea sick steve or SSS has a lot to do with the number of brits that have got into CBG's - i'm a great fan of his music got all his stuff to date
good to hear your having a crack at making your own CBG it's a great feeling to know you made your own instrument - i started off with four stringers but have now been converted to 3 string less is more = less brain power to play lol!
if you need to know anything just ask thats how we learn around here - you will soon find out that this place is all about sharing tips and tricks !

· The Groups section offers specialized classrooms, discussions and various sub-groups of the Cigar Box Nation. Take some time to browse around and see if there's a particular cigar box group in your area or maybe a subject you needed help with.
· The Forum section is a place for people to ask specific questions to the general community. These questions may be about building, playing, selling and/or designing cigar box guitars and other related instruments.
· There is a Chat Feature at the bottom of every page at the gray bar. Click on Chat and a box will appear with the current chat. I am on the chat many times during the day. If you catch me in there, you can ask questions on building, playing and more. Also, there are many helpful members on there who will do the same. Pop in and say hi.
If you're a musician, make sure to post your own songs in the Music Player on your profile. Also post some pictures and tell us about yourself.
I'm truly glad you joined our community and hope it helps you enjoy these great instruments. There's nothing like a cigar box guitar...
