Looking mighty fine my friend. I wouldn't mind taking her out for a ride around the park. Happy Holidays. Enjoy.

Excellent build. Sounds really LOUD! My CBGs never sound that loud.

Nice! Was the metal piece that secures the strings something you found, or did you make it? It seems perfect for the task!

Here's one for ya, Mark... A mix of two BoingBoing subjects: 3-string cigar box guitar backed up by three FM3 Buddha Machines.

Mark, I just talked to Bill Moore of "Papa's Boxes - Cigar Box Uke Kits" and told him you NEEDED one of his kits. I think he's sending you one this week.

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

thanks again Mark. the part you ask about is a cabinet hinge, i cut the hinge part off and use it for a bridge, the other part i use for the tail. if you go to my pics and go to page 4, look at the first pic there, cbg 002, you will see what i did. it works great.

glad you like my sound holes Mark. they started off to be f-holes but i thought the holes were good enough.

Re: Rough Havanas cbg. The bridge is just a bolt with the head cut off. Coarse thread, so the strings will sit in the 'valleys' and not jump out. Same goes for the nut, though smaller diameter. Very common to do this.

Pleased you like the guitar. See you.

good god...6000 hits to my vid in 24 hours? I'm just floored by BoingBoing. I used to think Fark.com was a powerhouse, but dang boy, you blow 'em away.

Postman show up yet?
