Hi Bruce, thanks for the friend request. I don't have any problem with the pickup at all, it sounds great and the sustain is awsome.If I were to build another, I think I would try setting the pup at an angle. I used the plans in the free plans section of this site and the lap steel c# merle built as a guide. Watch c# merle's video. He also posted step by step pics of his build. His lap steel sounds beautiful. I even tuned mine the same as his. Just use your imagination and go for it. Enjoy
