When I built this lap steel I drew the frets on a piece of Plexiglas and screwed it to the neck. It looked kinda plain so I bought a new deck of cards for a dollar and put some of them under the Plexiglas. Next project may be to replace the square nuts on the bridge with dice.

Wow, great idea.  I never thought of using plexiglass.  Those cards really set the whole thing off.  Nice work!
