I play the tenor banjo, so I can like that. Many of my boxes have been 4 strings and I tune them the way I do my tenor. GDGD. I got this tuning from playing 3 string Strum Sticks. I had a G and a long D strum stick which I played the heck out of, then banjo, bazooki, ukuleles, baritone ukulele, then homemade box guitars. I like slide guitar too. and the diddly played with a stick is a new love.

Thanks, it does have a nice sound. Has a bit of a banjo twang here and there that I kinda like. I still need to touch up the nut and bridge a bit to get the action where it needs to be.
