I threw this together last night.  The only thing that has kept me from trying a bass before is the cost of the strings.  I saw this paddle at a sporting goods store and it just cried out "string…Continue

Bob,

Thanks,

Jillian,

Most home centers, big box stores and kitchen design companies have boxes and boxes of 2X2" corian samples.   These are supplied by the companies that make counter tops from corian and are updated regularly.  Just go in, tell them what you need, and expect to get all you could use for your lifetime...

the best,

Decided to revisit a fun build, so the last 2 afternoons  completed a 2-string weedwacker bass...

Bassic Description   2 string trimmer lines, oak neck, 19 jumbo frets, piezo pup with volume control, "chicken head" control knob, position markers cut from a credit card with a paper punch and corian nut and bridge....

Enjoy the pics.... the best,  Wichita Sam

OK, here comes #1. Now I know why you do NOT keep your guns in the same room with your computer. This is the improved Bama Bass

That should have been pic #3. Here goes with # 2, I hope!

A couple of finished basses. The Red one is a re-build of the Bama Bass adding a second pick up & better electrics. The green one is a standard single P.U. model that I sell. I wish the hell I could figure out how to post this crap. Seems like every time I try it, It's different,. hope these pics come up somewhere.
