I just got my first rod piezo and I would like to know the best placement for it. I plan to build a 3 string guitar with a through neck 1 1/2" wide (poplar or red oak). I have been using a 10-24 section of threaded rod for a bridge, laying on the box top, held in place by string tension. Would appreciate any advice.

General thinking hot glue on the bridge does the trick....................Ron

get a hollow rod or grove a bolt (or rod ) so the pickup fits under it  Bring it up from the box & lay under rod or threw rod  Iv done both & they sound great  You can also just make a bridge out of wood & grove that  Then lay the rod on top  Hope it helps
