new guy intro

hi all, thanks to ted c for the invite over here! i'm a harp guy who has jammed here and there with a couple of cbg players. i don't play strings although i have several failed attempts behind me. i am intrigued with the possibility of actually building one and maybe even learning to play it, not to mention convincing my wife Jolene to try one out!

i also have an esoteric sort of dream- that's to build- a working gas can guitar for her! i have a can and an acoustic neck in decent shape, but no earthly idea how to even begin. if you've ever heard or heard of super chikan of clarksdale, missippi, you know the power of one of his guitars. i'd like to have one of those under my belt, and see my wife actually playing it one day.
