Ok .....

 

1st - Welcome to the wonderful world of cbg's.

2nd - \What do you have? 3 or 4 strings? full fretting or diatonic?(dulcimer type)

3rd - What tuning? or at least what strings are on it?

Hello Clockwork, thanks for getting back. Mine was made by John Drury of Two Dog Guitars in Nashville.. Its a 3 string with frets and Beautiful!
Keni Lee Burgess has some great videos on here that can get you going as well. He will go into theory but it's all good stuff.
Also check out John "Red Dog" mcnair's instructional dvd. Go to the Cigar Box Music ad on this site... the dvd in question is buried amongst a number of other good dvd's and cd's, music as well as stuff on building.
