  Hey Greg, welcome...I recently built my first and ended up doing a string retainer thing that added a solid even break angle at the nut for all strings...makes a difference! some people use eye screws, which I'd thought I'd do but then right before I mounted them I thought of this (well, in a shot in my photos if you care to check the build I did).
