  • i'v had a play with iron horse on the 3 string n it sounds ok, was half tempted on saturday but can never remember the words. maybe next year with autocue :0)
  • Yes i guess we all loose our mates - i will get another bike one day i miss it like crazy i'm the same as you had bikes since i was 7 and im now 41 this year so it's a big part of my life style missing heres a couple of pics of the street fighter i managed to find - this bike was supposed to be going in the AWOL Magazine But two weeks before the photo shoot i laid it down on a roundabout covered in deisel and wrote it off - that was my claim to fame lost lol!

    the last one i madewas about 12 years ago

    it started life as a old 1982 Z550 twin rear shock model - chopped the back end of the frame off at the Cradle and grafted a RGV 250 Subframe and plastics -home made front seat - Petrol Tank is a GPZ600R which i cut the complete bottom out of with a Z1000 petrol tank Bottom welded on to accomadate the top tube of the frame a GPZ Tank as standard has a flat bottom ! the front part of the tank has false Fiberglass panels - the Engine is a gas flowed big valve GPZ600R high lift cams , GPZ550 Black Box (CDI) ignition advances the power curve 5 degree , modifed Carbs with dynojet and race needles Ram Air Filters and a tony law one off hand made down pipes and collector box with a derestricted motad Datum silencer - swing arm GPZ600R and wheels , stainless steel discs all round front folks FZR exup GSXR Front Calipers , straight Bar Conversion twin Cibie Lights - home made Reasets and engine mounts - was known around these parts as the retro Pocket Rocket had it speed tested to 158 mph not bad for a home made 600 eh !

  • cool i'm a bit of a bike nut myself mind you i'm without one right now but in the past i've built a few streetfighters - use to love building bikes but just dont seem to have the same enthusiasum these days as both my riding buddies were killed within a month of each other it put me off a little so i'm having a rest bite for now - but still keep thinking of getting another project :-)
    would love to see some more pics of your bike if you have any ?
