Thanks Uncle John! Your assessment of the song is spot on; there is a tourist trap complete with statue in Winslow, Arizona as a testimony to the song’s staying power.

I agree Kale, the Eagles were strong in the guitar department! Fortunately for us, the song still works with only 2 strings.

Great version slingers, this song reminds me of the time I almost got arrested for jaywalking, they don’t play in Winslow!! :)

The Eagles on 2 strings. That's an unusual change considering they were a string band. :-D However you wanna slice it up... the song works in this context too.
