Yup Andries and Derek. I got to party with Mississippi John. Art school brought some of the greats in to do concerts for us. And I got to hang out at Mel’s coffee House in Dinky Town by UM where Koerner, Ray and Glover played regularly. I’d sit at a table a few ft. From them and sketch them all evening. I became friends with Dave “Snaker” Ray in later years and was in a short lived band with him, “Dave Ray and the Sneekers”. My direction in life was formed from those influences. I’ll tell you about Willie Murphy sometime too. :*)

I’d love to hear your “Pension Day” AGP. . I could do one called “Social insecurity”.

Another excellent one, Dave. Love the vocal. Cool story about you meeting the man himself.

Thanks Nancy. The only thing that fits my voice is some kind of muffler. :*) I like the cat trio. I love drawing critters with CBGs.

Thanks Unc. I got to see Hurt live in art school and at a party for him after his performance. He was a wonderful sweet man. He influenced me greatly. I sat right in front of him at the party while he played. Then he handed his guitar to me and asked me to play... his guitar was tuned real low. All rattley and Bass. I fumbled out a blues riff and he smiled at me. That’ll change your world...

I like your takes on MS John Hurt.   Soulful good, Grover!
