Comment by Uncle John on July 8, 2022 at 2:16am: Off set was the way to go, Looks great. What is the story and purpose of the 'bumpers' between the strings? Montana Merlin Foundation? And you are from NC? There must be a story there. Are you a birder or raptor guy?

I THINK I have seen a merlin in Iowa. Where we used to live, only 90 miles away as the crow fles, we saw a LOT of kestrels. We see fewer kestrels here. Surprising what a difference 90 miles makes in the changes in species commonly seen.
