Randy Bretz Wormy Butternut Build - Body Detail 2

this one has a unique Wormy Butternut slab body. Dyed black red oak neck and white oak frame. 22" scale length w/ copper sheet overlay on the fret board and pressed in fret markers. Carved headstock w/ 3 bronze plated tuners and copper carved skull center detail - 1/8" thick copper nut. Copper top Wicked Bucker pickup.

I was the extremely lucky bidder on Randy's recent eBay listing. This is one sweet CBG, and one that I'll cherish for years to come! Randy's mad carving skills are known to most of us here on the Nation, but we all need to recognize his skills as a builder too! He re-worked this from a 'true' CBG, and gave it the wormy butternut slab body. Wow! The end result is a beautiful specimen, only to be improved with age as its copper elements gain their patina. Bless you, Randy! Amen!
