a screw thought the pan into the end of the dowel. and then just gorilla glued into a hole in the box. There is likely a much nicer way to get the same effect like a bolt thought the top.

How did you suspend it and also how did you attach it to the dowel, if you dont mind me asking.

very nice,that is a great looking old vintage box,loud is good. i like to keep resonators acoustic also so most of the ones i have built are acoustic. great idea to suspend the cake pan for best vibrations.
