Hi, first I would check the strings contact at the bridge saddle to see if it is buzzing there. If it was buzzing at the nut it would go away when fretted. You could also shim the bridge under the offending string, to raise it off the fingerboard, to check if any contact along its length. A buzz along the whole fingerboard often indicates bridge saddle, especially if you have grooves in the saddle.

Hi again, I forgot to mention, that to stop the neck from tilting I would either remove wood from the high side to make the seating surface level or, shim the low side to achieve the same outcome.
Let us know what you find.

You'll know if the neck is tilted to the sides when the strings have a cut angle at the bridge. Also if one of the strings are further out the fingerboard or further in.

As Taffy said, buzzing is common to the bridge setup and fretting, so check those areas first.

I had a tilted neck for one build and the bass string would fall off the bridge during playing.  Tried many styles of bridges but same result. This one can't be realigned because in my green days, I epoxy'd and super glued the neck

I agree with Taff, it’s probably on the bridge or nut, may just need a little fine tuning of the string grooves. Tread lightly, it can get away from you real fast, depending on the material? Kind of hard to figure out without seeing it tho?
