I cant help myself...as a rule.

Hi, just a bit of useless information.

I always find that when I have to measure something the rule or tape is always on another bench, machine, or in another room. I have pencils scattered in different areas of my workshops for the same reason.

So I came up with this idea to save walking back and forth. I have a short rule at the most frequented machines and carry one in my pocket....most of the time.

I have plenty of steel rulers of different lengths, but I hate to see things go to waste.

Nice.   I recently invested in two high quality tape measures on sale at good prices.  I did not realize how much better they can be than the cheap ones I used for years.  

My dad was a part time carpenter and always carried and old folding rule in his overalls pocket.  Here it is made into a a decoration.
