Hey Hard luck Chuck, good to hear from you. That box I used is really old cedar, I was afraid of cracking the top so opted for side holes. Been trying to learn fretting on some scrap walnut, not getting the hang of it very well. I have medium creature and a saw from CB gitty, hard to get the frets tight. Need more practice. I want my next box to be fretted.
