Hi, using a metal bridge designed for solid body electric guitars, a hardtail bridge, would compromise acoustic propities I would think. But to answer your question. Using a bridge plate in the bridge area glued inside the top/lid, use bolts and nuts though the bridge, top, and plate.
Now that might mean bolting it up before gluing the top on, or closing up the box.

Using wood screws would mean a thicker bridge plate to give the screws something to anchor into, this would also restrict the tops acoustic output, which ain't much anyway on a small box lid.

If you add it all up a heavy bridge, a pickup, pots and knobs are all acoustic robbers, in my book. You will get an acoustic and electric sounds but I think the quality of one will suffer at the expense of the other.
But that's not all.....but it's enough,haha.
