Hi, Tom, it's a long story. I had done the major repairs to the neck and fitted a new side into the body. Whilst waiting for the correct peghead decal for that period I put it in a case for safekeeping and put it away. The other week I wanted to loan a lady a guitar case and opened up the one that had this guitar in it.

It's a Maton, made in Australia in 1957.

Michael, no not waiting for parts as I had stored them all away also. It could be because of the virus I have time to get back to working on it. Just install one side purfling and binding. Now to refret it and apply a sunburst finish.

I certainly understand how "life" pushes you along often leaving things behind. I still have a mid-1800s clock waiting restoration. I think I acquired it back in 2005. Things just got away from me.

Regardless, your git will be beautiful when you are fini9shed.
