but i am a young punk, cool stuf those metal banjo's, my personal mercedes hubcap banjo is electric, I play some of my own punk blues with it.

i remember seeing PIL at their first gig on christmas night 1978 at the rainbow theatre, finsbury park london. a completely different sound to what was about at the time. we were chatting to john lydon before he went on stage, i recall my mate swapped his scarf with with him. when he came on stage he had a carrier bag with tins of beer in which he threw one by one into the audience.

Wish I'd had my 3 string tin-canjo back when I was in a punk band in '78 - currently re-living my youth, gigging with it in a band called the Folkin' Hillbillys!
