When I started building CBG's I hardly ever saw anybody that had seen them before. 2 years later I run into more and more people that have seen em before. Florida is getting more involved in the CBG revolution!!!!!. I wanted to know how many members we have here at CBN are neighbors of mine? I live in central Florida and wondering how many other builders/players are local or in the same state. I know your out htere just not sure how to find you.

So far so good. If Im counting right we got 10 replies from Florida builders/players. I know of 2 more that havent replied yett. And At the rate were going we may have 20 by next week. I knew there had to be more of us out there. There was just too many people starting to say. Ohh I saw one of those last week. Im glad to have some locals. I have always wanted to have a gathering of some kind down this way. It always seems to be the guys up north.(duh thats where King Shane resides) In time I imagine we will have enough to support some type of fest. We get enough involvement here to get it going and others will travel to be a part. Lets give it a couple weeks and see about having some type of gathering?
while i am game for a gathering (have been bouncing the same idea around in my head for a few weeks now) my biggest issue will be time. somthing about a full time student, full time job, side business and partner in CBG business kinda eats up all your time. that, playin shows, preparin for shows, and playin the bloody xbox lol

If it fits my schedule I'm always up for a road trip.
I heard a good chunk of REV NIX's radio show yeterday. He was featuring Bluebeatin Redshaw. This is exactly the type of radio show worth a listen. and theres live chat connected up too. He had music and a live interview with Mr Redshaw who is an amazing young man. It airs Fridays 4 to 6pm(EST) on www.scrubradio.com look for stinkfinger and Rev nix when you get there. I had no problems with pop ups or any of the usual problems that come along with live broadcasts. It was as easy as picking HiFi. Thanks Rev for your work forwarding this culture.
Hi all, Tom here from Clearwater, west of Tampa. I bought 1 am now buildding 2 more. Can't play a lick on either but am trying to learn. Anyway, thought I would drop in and say hi to the neighbors being new around here!

Well LJ, I'm not in FLA, but I agree with you on meeting folks now days that HAVE seen a CBG. When I started selling them a year ago most of the time when I ask a customer if they had ever heard of a CBG the answer was a flat "NO".
Now days,, the answer is YES" much more often.
I'm in Tn in a tourist area so we get folks from all over the country and other countries more and more often.I have sold a few to people from the UK. 1 that was from Sweden, etc.
SO your right the word IS getting out.
I'm in the Winter Park/Casselberry area.

I'm in Casselberry/Winter Park/Sanford/Orlando. Wow, it's been way too long since I've been to CBN. I've been involved with CBGs for six or seven years & I didn't know of any CBGers in Florida then. I'm a player not a builder & I play the Blues. I work as a solo, with the duo Doc Williamson & Brother Herb, with the band Doc & the Healers (sometimes featuring The Docettes) & I host Blues jam around Central Florida. I would love to be involved in the CBG gathering in Orlando next month. I'm booked w/ the duo 4/16 in Sanford BUT...I host a Blues jam every Saturday in Orlando at Rusty O'Reilly's (on Orange Ave. near Michigan), 8:30-12:30 and you're all welcome to come & play...THEN on Sunday I host a Blues jam at The Alley in Sanford from 4:00-8:00 & you're all welcome to come & play at that one too. Both jams attract high caliber players. I'm more of a piano player/singer than a guitar player but I love playing CBGs.

Somebody contact me!

Blues & Peace,
Doc
