She rides a Steed of Steel (with the rubber side down)

This song was authored/created by me as a follow-on project after completing my Neil Young cover music-video titled: "Unknown Legends", which was posted here on the Nation a week or so ago.
It was created using a simple homemade 3 string dog bowl guitar + an old $20.00 resale shop Casio keyboard (for drum rhythm backing) and mixed in a 10+ year old freeware Audacity audio editing program on a windows 10 PC.

Thanks Joe!  :-)  This was the 3rd song I've tried to record while singing - and was the first song I had authored/written from scratch ...

Richard - I forgot to put in the reason why I would motivate her to drive a truck . . . I don't want her legs/knees/ankles - etc. to play the role of the shock absorbing bumper in case she has an accident ...

Thanks for the feedback Richard, I was thinking more along the line that she would be more inspired to drive a pickup truck, especially if I bought one for her... :-)

By the way - she told me that the first song she wants to record when she visits with us at this location is:  "Girl on Fire", like the way Angelica Hale did on America's got Talent . . . I created her a verse and chord tab sheet on the song and emailed it to her so she could start practicing . . .The chord sequences to the "Girl on Fire" song are fairly easy, so her first song is doable from this end:

verse: G Em C D (x2)

pre-chorus: G Em C/Bm D (x2)

chorus: G Em C D (x2)

bridge: C D C D Em Bm C D

Turned out beautifully George! Nice clean mix, extremely well played and written. You do realize you’ve inspired your granddaughter to ride a Steed of Steel! Love the ending, exclamation!

Thanks StorminSteve! . . .  By the way, after viewing this - my granddaughter remarked that this was a really good "girl- power" motorcycle song . . .  :-)

Thanks for the feedback, Andries!

As a how-to fyi: that brit trumpet sound effect was the result of my recent experiment with Audacity where I took my dog-bowl reso. track and made two copies of it, raised the pitch by +0.2% on the first copy, lowered it by -0.2% on the second copy, then used the phaser effect in Audacity at 1 hertz to cycle back and forth between both those tracks, then dropped the sound level for both the high/low copies by 4 DB - and remixed them back into the original dog-bowl reso track . . . that gave me a phaser/reverb kinda effect that thickened up the rather-thin sounding 3 string dog bowl playing portion of this song nicely.   I did that final "with the rubber side down" effect in Audacity as well by running that phrase through the high pass filter, and then the low pass filter - and then normalized it . . . which gave it a really cool low-fi kinda distant sound...  Audacity is really quite fun and capable of doing these types of projects - I'm glad that I already had it on hand when I started trying to do this recording stuff almost a month back when I did the audio and vocals for that Joe Bonamassa - Sloe Gin cover music-video that Richard posted a few weeks back.

I noticed how well your recent hobo music-video sounded and was also wondering what you used to record/mix that song with. . . which really sounds good, by the way... and was glad to hear that you also use the same reliable audio software that I use to prep these songs up for posting them here on the Nation...
