Ebay looked for "guitar amp kit" there were more there last night. I went looking for a basic solder your own for my grand kids. Ive been trying out a lap steel I just made on it and it kiks azz!

I got the SD-MAH5. and the Jensen MOD6-15 six inch speaker. The circritry emulates 5 differnt amps from nice tone to metal shread. I can also input music from my I phone to listen to or play along with. I use a battery pack of double A batteries for 12 volts instead of 9. All who have seen it try to steal it!! It looks great and plays better. ;-). Im impressed with what I got, I chose this model for the extra features NOT available on the other units.

Tone Monster recomended the 8 ohm so thats what I used. I have a $15 dollar amp version with tone/volume and guitar jack only that you have to solder yourself from on-line. Works ok it just doesnt have the same versitility but it is cheap. And people are happy to ad that to a guiter purchase.

Its only rated at like 2.5 watts I believe but its loud enough to get the neighbors attention. For REALLY loud practice I feed it into my suround sound.;-) my playing is done either at home or in someones back yard so big sound isnt what I need. I dont do "gigs" just putzing around.
