Hey Bob, I can't remember where I saw this on CBG site, but here are the recommendations: a tin CBG--the lighest strings, wood-5,4,3---electric-strings 6,5,4--bluiest sound. Guages: .042,.032, .024, and .017,.024,.034.
Guages .o52,042,032 80/20 bronze. Use no heavier than a medium guage. I hope this helps u.

Thanks for the info, but I'm a little confused , can't really understand it the way you laid it out. I was wondering if you could repeat it in a little clearer fashion. Thanks in advance. Bob

I use the 24, 32, and 42 on my straight 3-string acoustic/electric CBG and have great luck and sound with these sizes.
