So I was practicing some songs the other night with a tin guitar and my electric soda crate stomp box (with license plate stomping area), and while I like the sound of the stomper through a bass amp, keeping a foot on it puts me in a weird, unstable playing position. I'd rather be

So I'm kicking around the idea of building a section of electric porch, about the size of a shipping pallet, only sturdier and with slightly nicer boards. Then I'll put a piezo or two in strategic locations and wire 'em directly to an output jack. Then, when needed, I can stand on my little section of porch and stomp away.

I think somebody had something similar posted here back in 2012 or so, but I don't remember who.

Any and all suggestions are welcome, whether for making it sound decent or for making it sillier than it already will be. License plate(s) again? Multiple "hot" areas on it, or just one?

Sweet! Your neighbors will love it. You won't need a door bell.

Well I'm not gonna wire up my ACTUAL porch. That would be just...okay, that would be awesome, so I'm gonna do that now, too.

Double Dare you to do it and make a video of it being played.

My wife would KILL me!
Good luck!

Yeah!!!

So what I mean here is a portable section of wooden "porch," about shipping pallet size. So I can take it places and play for people without almost falling over every couple seconds.

If I could find a way to operate it with my foot, I do have a brake rotor that I've used as a percussion instrument on recordings. If I could mount the rotor at the right angle near the ground, I could rig up a bass drum pedal with a small hammer for a beater...

gonna   need a mail  box amp  to  go  with   it  ;-) maybe on a stand    in  the  front   corner  ;-)

milk  bottle  returns as  slides  ;-)

dinner  bell  triangle .

and needs  more cowbell  ;-)

Bass amp mounted in a mini-fridge?

fly swatter  drumsticks  ,     for the  wind chimes  ;-)

Armless Rocking chair attached by a string to an overhead fan on a flywheel. Wooden boat paddles attached to fan blades, thumping against half a 55 gallon drum set on its side, in which pork ribs are smoking. Amp in the freezer section of a fridge stocked with home brew. Screen around porch, protection against flying beer bottles and poor man's Faraday cage. Beer wench.
