Assuming these are inches and not cm, I'd cut em in half, cover each half with spruce or birch veneer. Two gits in one!

 Yes there cm so to you who still use imperial  10 7/8 in x 7 in x 3 in .

Don't be sorry.  all the chatter is tongue in cheek, errr, I hope.  Anyway, it is an indication of how far the Empire has fallen when the only hold out for "English" measuring units is the (ahem) good ole U.S.A.

No worries. I just didn't wanna run around aimlessly at Michael's or Hobby Lobby when I'm home this summer, looking for a 27.5" x 17.7" x 7.5" box, and have them look at me funny when I ask. They already think I'm nuts. ;-)

Disclaimer: Michael's and Hobby Lobby are craft supply chain stores in the States.

I used to feel the same way about cutting tools until a slip on a "F-hole" with a knife and a trip to the ER with a cut artery in my thumb, convinced me that drilling, sawing and sanding are more better options.... ;-)...heheheheheehehe.

Yes, but I learn that quick servic in the ER happens when you walk in with a blood soaked towel and say "arterial bleed"!
