I'm in Manteca, just a hop, skip, & jump from you. Just built my 1st 3 stringer before Xmas, and plan to build a couple 4 stringers (ukulele's actually) when I return from vacation in Mid Feb. Would love to chat sometime if you get to the area with some free time.

I live in Carmichael - near Sacramento.

  ... and am in Sonoma County part of each week, too.

The gatherings CBG in CA have had, have been very good. I've learned a lot at each one.             

           Such as, this building secret: use a hole punch to make the dots for your fretboard.    and

              how to make an amp - using a cigarbox as the case.

I am also in Napa at Napa Valley Wine & Cigar.  Building both cigar and wine box guitars as time permits.  I get a half dozen parents through here every year to get cigar boxes for the child's school projects of CBG's and Ukes.
