Solutions for Aspiring Musicians with Disabled Hands

In response to the numerous emails I receive from viewers who are interested in playing guitar, but are concerned due to limited function of their hands or fingers, I made this informative video to encourage them in their quest and offer possible solutions. Please feel free to write if I can be of further assistance. Enjoy the Joy of Music.

thats fantastic..
I have a friend here in Melbourne, Paul Cummings who was a smoking hot guitar player...
until a terrible accident when a tour bus was rolled over..
he is legally a quadriplegic but he was left with a small amount of movement and sensation in his hands and forearms only..
over a period of maybe six or seven years he reestablished himself as a lap and steel player. His wife glues special picks together for him out of many guitar picks, maybe nine or ten all glued together at strange angles, this gives him enought to hold onto..
He really is fantastic and an incredible inspiration, very entertaining performer (he sings too) with a great sense of humour, the people love him..
Thanks Keni so much for drawing our attention to these amazing and inspiring people..
great stuff.

Thank you for your response and sharing personally. Definitely, it seems playing guitar is a good therapeutic exercise for both your body and mind. Please read my Chord Chemistry 101 lectures and see their corresponding 4 string CBG videos as they get posted. I think you find this information valuable for finding alternative arranging ideas to meet your needs. Most importantly take care of yourself and enjoy.

once more keni i am learning loads from you, both my hands are a bit ruined, still usable for most things in every day life and do not affect work too much, but i find playing guitar really tests them,i have limited control over most of my fingers but worse on left hand(self inflicted, motorbikes which i still and alway will ride).i have tried all sorts to make them work better but know they are getting worse with age(40 now)still as much of a test as the guitar is i find its helping my fingers by using them in ways i never have cheers mate(i attempt to play a 3 string which i think is easier with my hands)
